Jewelry By Steven at 643 East Park Avenue, Long Beach, New York.

I wanted to buy my wife a present but felt I did not want to spend enough to get something really special. I went to Jewelry by Steven thinking I could not get something special for what I wanted to spend. Explaining to the clerk I think her name was Carol, my situation she asked me if I had any ideas, which I did not although I did explain I needed to keep the cost down. At this point she went to speak to the owners and both Bonnie and Steve worked with me. They were extremely patient as they showed me many beautiful pieces in my price range and below. I ended up seeing a string of pearls that was magnificent, although it was a little more then I wanted to spend. Rather then trying to sell me the pearls at a higher price they asked me to give them a minute. When they came back they said they could do it at just below what I wanted to spend. This is extremely rare in a business today. Not only the price but the service. I was treated not as a customer, but a friend by the entire staff. What a gem this store is. No pun intended.I strongly recommend this store as a great place to buy jewelry while being totally comfortable and treated like a friend.
